This was supposed to be a self-portrait. However, In a moment of creative uncertainty, I called out to a lifetime of guides and muses—and this happened. Swear to god they all showed up...one by one...for this painting: My dogs that raised me (and found me when I may have wandered off), some of the deer I hung out with, one of the dolphins I swam within Santa Monica Bay, my mother (dove) on the roof, my wife who always has my back (her moon painting on the house), a flock of Canada geese (my people), and all 10 of my cats.
